Mirabella

Mirabella

The name Mirabella was chosen because it can be loosely translated from Italian as “beautiful vision,” which reflects PRS’s goal of helping residents create a vision of their future that is bright, vibrant and exciting. This 30-story tower houses a luxury senior independent living facility with a fitness center, pool, spa, sauna, hair salon, classroom space and dining area with cityscape views in the busy Portland South Waterfront neighborhood. It attained LEED Platinum while providing residents with extensive high-quality finishes. Mirabella was designed as a ‘smart’ building in conjunction with OHSU.

In 2008, before it even opened, Mirabella Portland received the highest design honor, a Merit Award, from the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Design for Aging Review program.

Additionally, it has achieved the highest possible rating, a Platinum certification, through the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System, which is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance buildings. LEED promotes a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in five key areas of human and environmental health: sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality.
